Ich habe mir den obigen Brenner gekauft, beim Booten wird er mit der korrekten ID angezeigt, im Gerätemanager scheint er auch als CD-Rom korrekt auf, nur wenn ich ins Adapter-Bios wechsle, wird er unter "Devices" nicht angezeigt (nur Festplatte und CD-Rom-LW). Mein Controller: Tekram DC390U, OS: Win95b (OSR2).
Wäre dankbar, wenn mir jemand weiterhelfen könnte.

I am sorry I cannot read German, but I noticed the 4416s.
I bought a brand new Yamaha 4416s but found it had bios 1.0b & it was 3 months old, so I took it back & got it swapped for a new December 98 one with bios 1.0e.
But It would not copy latest Playstation games, so I rang Tech Manager Yamaha, who said, silly man, you should have kept with the old bios 1.0b has been doctored NOT to copy playstation original games, after being instructed to in a court case with Sony.
**** ALL NEW WRITERS *** & BIOS UPDATES FROM ALL MANUFACTURERS MUST HAVE THIS ANTI-COPY DOWNGRADE FITTED IN THEM, to stop you pirating Sony Playstation "new original games".
I got hold of bios V1.0b & it works again, so let this be known.
Yamaha etc, will not release this info, as no one would not buy a new drive as it wont copy the newer stuff.

Hi,
how did you manage, to get hold of the Bios v1.0b?
I flashed my Bios up from v1.0b to v1.0e and the flashing-utility
gave me no option to backup my present version.
So it seems that there is no way back !?
If you have any advice, please give me a message.
